Motivating and Retaining a Generationally Diverse Workforce

    Wednesday 27th September 2017, 2.00pm ADST

For the first time in history, we have 4 prevalent generations working side by side... soon to be 5. They include:

    • iGen, aka Generation Z: born 1996 and after
    • Millennials, aka Generation Y: born 1977 to 1995
    • Generation X: born 1965 to 1976
    • Baby Boomers: born 1946 to 1964

The challenge of keeping up with what's right for the different generations can be complex! It can also be frustrating if you don’t understand what works, and what doesn’t.

    This webinar will help:

    - You understand the distinctions and similarities between the generations

    - Enable you to adapt your approach so that you can motivate, retain and bring out the best in your generationally diverse team.

Who should attend? Business owners, managers and supervisors determined to succeed and grow a profitable and sustainable business.

Registration is now open for WSBC's Major Business Leader Luncheon: Winning Business In Western Sydney's Infrastructure Boom.

How does business in Western Sydney unlock the potential of the infrastructure boom?

Key government agencies and commercial contractors will provide an update on two of the region’s major projects:

    • Western Sydney Airport

Set to open in 2026, the Western Sydney Airport is a transformational infrastructure project that will generate economic activity, provide employment opportunities for the region, and meet Sydney’s growing aviation needs. The Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development will provide an overview of the $5.6 billion project that will change the face of Western Sydney.

    • Westmead Health Precinct

Boasting one of the largest health, education, research and training precincts in Australia, the Westmead Health Precinct is a key provider of knowledge jobs for the Western Sydney region. More than $3 billion has been committed by government, universities and the private sector to upgrade and expand the precinct’s facilities. We will hear from Brookfield Multiplex's Brendan Sweeney, who heads the project team responsible for delivering the $450 million State of the Art Central Acute Services Building (CASB) and Innovation Centre due for completion at the end of 2020.

We will also explore whether massive infrastructure projects have a responsibility to set local industry participation targets to ensure a lasting legacy for the local economy.
